The Illinois CDL School Bus Endorsement written exam is required by those drivers who will drive a school bus that transports
students to and from school;
therefore requiring the School Bus Endorsement on their their CDL.

a valid Illinois CDL with a Passenger Vehicles Endorsement by passing the IllinoisCDL School Bus Endorsement written test, re-taking the skills tests in a safety equipped School Bus

location; the CDL test vehicle will be provided by the examiner, or will be the
responsibility of the applicant (a qualified CDL holder must be in the vehicle
