Texas Class C CDL Tank Vehicles Learner Permit Training

A Class C CDL is required to drive any single vehicle, or combination of vehicles, that does not meet the definition of Class A or Class B (ie: does not exceed 26,000 pounds GVWR), but is either designed to transport 16 or more passengers (less for school bus), including the driver, carries hazardous materials requiring placarding or carries a tank with a capacity exceeding 1000 gallons. The Class C Passenger Transport Bundle is for shuttle-type buses that are non-schoolbus and not carrying hazardous materials requiring placarding. If you drive a light bus requiring HazMat placarding; purchase the Class C HazMat Bundle AND add the Passenger Vehicles Endorsement separately. In order to obtain a basic Texas Class C CDL with a Tank Vehicles Endorsement, you MUST successfully pass ALL of the following Texas CDL Tests . . .

• TX General Knowledge CDL written test.
• TX Tank Vehicles CDL written test.
• TX Three-part CDL Skills tests in a representative-type vehicle.

This bundle does NOT include the Air Brakes Test since very few Class C type commercial vehicles have air brakes. The Air Brakes Test may be purchased separately.

The actual TexasCDL written tests must be taken in-person and with proper identification, at the Texas state office under the authority and audit of Texasgovernment personnel. Our CDL training program is totally online and does not include any training in an actual vehicle. After receiving your Texas CLP (commercial license permit), you will likely need to get some behind-the-wheel experience to be able to pass the three-part Texas CDL skills tests. You may choose to get this experience through a friend, relative, employer or truck driving school. The actual TexasCDL three-part skills tests will be given by either a Texasstate examiner or by a atate approved independant examiner. Depending upon the location; the CDL test vehicle will be provided by the examiner, or will be the responsibility of the applicant (a qualified CDL holder must be in the vehicle until your CDL is issued).
